The Paranormal Unicorn was recently asked by the Kologne-based film production company Street Cinema to create a „light cage“ for a music video for the German rapper Seyed. Titled „Rap oder Einzelhaft“ (eng. Rap or Solitary Confinement), this was the perfect project for us to start working in Germany.
The video itself was a lot of fun to shoot. Despite containing all of the standard tropes of a hip-hop video, 500 Euro bills and all, it had a level of self awareness that was comforting, especially to those of us who have had little to no contact with this side of hip hop. Even Kollegah made an appearance in the video, pumping iron with an evil eye.
