The Ene Mene Mu Festival is a cooperation between the Austrian band “Klangkarusell” and Red Bull and is a lifestyle festival, trying to harmonize between music and nature. We provided full production services, including stage design, fabrication and production for the main stage, as well as designing and producing 2 smaller indoor stages and outdoor decoration. The entire production lasted 8 days and consumed almost 4 tons of wood.
The design was meant to reflect the base concept of the festival itself: “Back to Nature”. Wood can be tough to work with on a large scale due to it’s enormous weight but it brings warmth to large scale installations that isn’t possible with many other materials. A green “belt” wraps it’s way across the design, consisting of local foliage: mostly vines and pines, no exotic plants. This solidifies the harmony with nature and the surrounding area, as well binding the foreground with the backdrop.
We documented the construction process, as well as the festival itself, in timelapse (see below). You can also read about the entire festival (in German) and watch additional media on Red Bull’s website.
